We’re a diverse team of dedicated leaders passionate about Jewish education, community engagement, culinary arts, and cultural enrichment, uniting traditions with modern life across all walks of life.

Nathan Vaisbort

Director of Community Outreach

Nathan Vaisbort, a Las Vegas native and investment banker, balances his career with passions in culinary arts, music, hiking, and travel. Moving to New Jersey in 2021 for work, he aimed to maintain ties with the Jewish community. As Co-Founder and Director of Community Outreach, he leverages his diverse interests for community growth.

    Asher Weinstein

    VP of Social Engagement and CoFounder

    Asher Weinstein, a Drexel alum from Highland Park, has been pivotal in connecting young Jewish professionals through social events. Founder of the Oneg Group and instrumental in Morristown’s Jewish community, he combines digital marketing with a passion for inclusivity. Asher enjoys ultimate frisbee, Dungeons and Dragons, and his cat, Dunkin, enriching our team with his warmth and creativity.

      Shana Onigman

      Cantor

      Cantor Shana Onigman, ordained at Hebrew College, thrives in MJCBY’s community, teaching, singing, and playing guitar. Her life, rich in music and tradition, is shared with her family; her husband leads the choir, and her children are musically inclined. Shana’s commitment to fostering a harmonious community at MJCBY is evident in her multifaceted role, making every interaction an opportunity for connection and reflection.
