Meet the people behind JYC
Meet the people building Jewish young adult community in New Jersey.
JYC’s founders and community leaders bring different experiences, interests, and strengths to one shared goal: helping Jewish young adults find meaningful community.
Our founders
People who turn ideas into invitations
Nathan Vaisbort
Director of Community Outreach and Engagement
Nathan combines community building with interests in food, music, travel, and the outdoors. After moving to New Jersey, he helped create the kind of welcoming Jewish network he was looking for himself.
Asher Weinstein
VP of Social Engagement and Co-Founder
Asher brings more than a decade of experience creating approachable social opportunities for Jewish young adults and helping newcomers feel at home.
Cantor Shana Onigman
Cantor and Jewish educator
Cantor Shana brings music, learning, tradition, and warmth to the MJCBY community and to JYC experiences.
Shared purpose
Creating the welcome we would want to receive.
Our leadership listens to the community, works with local partners, and builds programs that feel relevant to Jewish adults in their 20s and 30s.
Meet the community in person.
The best way to understand JYC is to experience a gathering for yourself.
