26 · FACTS, NOT ASSUMPTIONS
Six things every JYC event should tell you
Each event page now carries the same six-slot “Know before you go” block. Until all facts are checked, the slot says Details pending—it does not guess.
Food & kashrut
What is concretely true about caterer, kitchen, menu, or no meal. Certified claims require a named source.
Photography
Whether photography may occur, is limited to a zone, or is not permitted during the event.
Accessibility
Known step-free access, stairs/limitations, online access, or a clear invitation to ask.
Cost
Free, paid, sliding scale/assistance, or exact cost on the registration page.
Venue disclosure
Public venue, broad region, confirmed-attendee-only address, online, or pending. Private homes never publish an exact address here.
Vibe
A factual format—dinner, learning, outdoors, service, or low-key social—not a judgment about religious observance.
Publication rule
Every field must be complete, a JYC staff reviewer must check the facts, and a named religious-leadership reviewer must approve the wording and date it. Labels such as “Shabbat-compliant” are not available. JYC describes the concrete setup and routes individualized religious questions to a human.
